DOCUMENTATION
Clear records. Informed decisions.
Your conference documents can help organize the facts. The requirements for reimbursement, tax treatment, or professional recognition depend on your circumstances.
Keep the facts together.
Keep your confirmed program, participation record, study notes, and original receipts. Review personal activities and expenses separately with the appropriate adviser or organization.
Understand what a record establishes.
A schedule records the plan. Check-in evidence and participant attestations describe different aspects of participation. Neither a conference label nor a location check proves learning, physical attendance, or eligibility for a benefit.
Review requirements before making commitments.
Ask your employer, professional organization, or qualified tax adviser which documentation they require. Shift CME does not provide tax advice or guarantee deductions, reimbursement, or acceptance.
